Block every tool at the hook level until you say go
A two-command plugin keeps the agent in discussion-only mode — questions, trade-offs, a running plan — and physically cannot execute until /go.
`/converse` flips the agent into discussion-only mode. It asks clarifying questions, surfaces tradeoffs, pushes back on unclear requirements. Tools are blocked at the hook level. It physically cannot execute even if the model tries.

The contributor describes a plugin with two slash commands. /converse puts the agent into a discussion-only mode by blocking tool calls in a hook and injecting scoping instructions before each model call, so the model can ask questions and surface trade-offs but cannot act. Each reply ends with a structured plan recap. /go re-enables execution with the whole conversation already in context, so nothing has to be re-explained.
Limitations: A community plugin, not a built-in mode. The source describes the design and the two hooks it uses; the archive has not run it. The built-in /plan command covers the different case of writing a plan file instead of executing.
Documentation check: this specific community technique was not found in the official English reference snapshot (1f2b9e0) or the cached prompt guides. Related built-in features are documented. This is a bounded source review, not a claim about every document or independent execution testing.
